Summer Reading Challenge & Book Exchange

Summer Reading Challenge
Many thanks to our fabulous Library Media Specialist, Mrs.Turner, for putting together the second annual KES Summer Reading Challenge!

Ms. Turner has designed reading challenges for students entering grades K and 1, and for students entering grades 2 and 3. Students who complete the challenge and turn in their forms by September 8, 2017, will earn a free T-Shirt!

During the last week of school, your child received a copy of the challenge for their grade level. If you need another copy, please download one using the links below or stop in and see us. We would be happy to give you one.

Summer Book Exchange Need books for the Summer Reading Challenge? We hope you will take part in our Summer Book Exchange - open July 10 through August 25 in the front foyer. Stop in, sign out a book packet, take a reading log and read, read, read!
Please sign out only one packet at a time, and please return each packet to the correct container to help out other families looking for books.
Each packet is labeled with the level(s) of the books inside.Your child’s reading level will is noted on their report card to make it easy to know what level books to sign out.

If there are no books on hand that are at your child's reading level, please use the request form on the table. Every Thursday a staff member checks the list, and will prepare book packets labeled with the names of the students who need them. Book packet requests can be picked up on Mondays.
